Original yarn: Patons Capstan with a tension of 5 sts and 6.5 rows to 1". Try a modern aran weight yarn working a tension piece and changing needles if necessary to achieve the correct tension.
The pattern has light brown stains on the bottom edge of the inside pages but is otherwise in a fair used condition for the age.
