Vintage knitting pattern for a baby's matinee coat set on the yoke, with choice of 4 different lace patterns to follow.
The matinees are all worked in one piece to the armhole division. You follow the one set of pattern instructions, and work whichever lace pattern you have decided to use.
Originally knitted using Patons Baby 3 ply pure wool and working to a tension of 14 sts and 18 rows to 2", over st. st. and using no. 9 (3.75mm) needles. Check your tension before you start by working a tension square, changing your needle size if needed to achieve success.
The pattern leaflet is from circa 1970s and is in good condition.
