A vintage knitting pattern for a baby's matinee coat with matching bonnet.
Two sizes to fit 18", 19" chest.
Bonnet also comes in two sizes: 11", 12", width round face and 5.5", 6.5" front to back.
Original yarn used was Sirdar Snuggly Double Knitting.
Tension 9.5 sts to 2" (5cm).
You will need one pair of No. 6 (5mm) needles, 4 buttons and 2 yard of narrow ribbon for the matinee coat, plus 30" narrow ribbon and 1 yard of wide ribbon for the bonnet.
The pattern is in a very good condition for its age, which I would estimate as from late 1970s or early 1980s.
